I went to the wonderful city of Amsterdam, located in the Netherlands for one of my first major trips from Freiburg. It was super cool, though I think I would’ve enjoyed the city a whole lot more with a friend or two!
Also this cheese store. Look at all the cheese!
I ended up spending two nights and one full day in Amsterdam! While I wasn’t there for King’s Day (where apparently the canals are just strewn with boats and flowers), I got to see the resulting little fair in front of the palace. It was definitely a weird juxtaposition between the creepy ride and the beautiful palace.
The inside of the palace was beautiful! There was so much information about it as well, part of which I totally don’t remember, but I do remember it being totally worth the price of admission!
I just love how the columns looked!
And here we have the beautiful Atlas holding up the world.
Also, I might’ve gone on a chandelier kick. Taking the images from the bottom. I looked a bit odd doing it, but there were kids sitting on the floor too.
While the cheese shop was interesting and the palace was lovely, I think the chocolate places I visited made my day a bit.
I ended my last night in Amsterdam with a lovely boat trip and then I attempted some night photos. Some with more success than others!
But anyway, just some other photos from the day!
The above photo is the train station! Isn’t it so cool?
